The Nevada Division of State Parks is seeking grant pre-applications to gauge the demand and ability to allocate funds for the 2012 Recreational Trails Program in Nevada.   Submittal of a pre-application will assist our program but is NOT REQUIRED.  Potential allocation for NV in 2012 is $559,000.  Motorized projects have priority over 40% of this funding, and only 5% can be used for education.

Please visit our website at http://www.parks.nv.gov/trails.htmto ensure you are eligible or call/email Jenny Scanland at 775 684 2787 or jscanland@parks.nv.gov.  Grants may be awarded to counties, municipalities, state and federal agencies, private organizations and non-profit organizations for the purpose of providing outdoor recreational trail activities. Because funding through this program is limited, allocation of these funds will be competitively determined by the Ad Hoc Recreation Trails Program Committee.

Submit one application by email by February 6  tojscanland@parks.nv.govor fax 775 684 2777
