2012 NRPS Conference was a success!

NRPS wants to thank all the attendees that took the time to celebrate the 2012 NRPS Conference at the Black Mountain Recreation Center. We had a great turn out and can’t wait until 2013.

The new NRPS Executive Board and awards will be posted soon. Stay tuned!

The Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification prep course had good attendance following the 2012 NRPS Conference. We would like to know if anyone is interested in attending this course in Northern Nevada to prepare for CPRP certification.

    Details from the NRPA web-site:

“For a beginning to mid-level professional the Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) is the national standard for all parks and recreation professionals who want to be at the forefront of their profession. It’s more than just letters after your name – it’s an investment in your career that demonstrates your practical knowledge and that you have the current real-world skills necessary in today’s changing park and recreation environment.”

Please let us know the times, days, and dates that would be most convenient for you. You can post to the blog or e-mail Kristy Bekiares at countypool@cccomm.net.
